   यद्यपि आतंकवादी अपने जिहादी उद्देश्यों कि घोषणा स्पष्ट रुप से तीव्र स्वर में कर रहे हैं तथापि पश्चिम के लोग और मुस्लिम अकसर उनकी बात सुन पाने में असमर्थ रहते हैं.कनाडा के लेखक इरशाद मंजी का आकलन है कि मुस्लिम संगठन ऐसा दिखावा करते हैं मानों आज के आतंकवाद में इस्लाम निर्दोष है और उसकी कोई हिस्सेदारी नहीं है. आतंकवादी क्या चाहते है ं यह बड़ी मात्रा में स्पष्ट है इसलिए इस बात को नजर अंदाज करना भारी भूल होगी .
